As you can see, I buy from Arda Wigs quite often. Between Fé and myself, we own 13 wigs and quite a few accessories from them. A lot of people love Arda, myself included, otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased so many wigs from them. However, now that I’ve tried many of their wigs for several different projects, I don’t think their products are the best choice for every situation. As a company run by cosplayers for cosplayers, they are very often highly recommended by North Americans so I wanted to talk about some of the negative aspects of their wigs too. But don’t worry, I’m still going to talk about what I love about Arda as well!
You’d think it would be simple to find a cruelty-free mascara. Personally, I’m not difficult as far as mascara goes. For the longest time, I just bought whichever brand was on sale at the pharmacy when I needed a new one. I tried high end brands for a little while but saw little difference in how my lashes looked – and a big one in how much it cost me. I never really had a bad mascara experience.
When I decided to switch over to cruelty-free brands, I figured it would be easy as pie and I could just grab whatever mascara I first came upon and be done. Little did I know of THE HORRORS OF CRUELTY-FREE MASCARAS that awaited me. *Cue womanly scream of terror* Little did I know…
These lenses come in 2 versions: monthly wear and weekly wear. The version that I tried is the weekly which is sold in a box containing 6 lenses (3 pairs) and costs $30. The monthly option costs $25 per single lens so getting a full pair would have a hefty $50 price tag. Since I was going to use these for cosplay and would wear them only once or twice during the same weekend I didn’t think it was necessary to pay more for the monthly lenses.
A while back, Pinky Paradise had a buy 2 get 1 free promotion on lenses. You couldn’t decide what free lenses you were going to get and I ended up receiving the beautiful G&G Shinny Violet aka Puffy 3 Tone lenses. I only ever owned another pair of purple/violet lenses which were the EOS Adult Violet that I don’t have anymore so these are a nice replacement.
