Making custom molds for casting resin is quite easy when you have the right products! It’s very time-saving when you need to make many identical copies of an object. In my case, I had to make 8 golden rings for my Margaret cosplay. I could have made those out of Sculpey or any other baking clay, but sanding all those down would have taken ages. Making a mold also ensures that all the resulting pieces will be identical!
There are many products you can use to make custom molds, but Gedeo Siligum was the easiest to obtain for me so that’s what I ended up using.
I’m always on the lookout for a lipstick that will work with my sensitive lips and when I saw Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Love Lipstick in very hot pink at Sephora, I just had to give it a try.
Despite its name Liquid Love Lipstick is more of a cross between a lipgloss and a lip stain than a lipstick. It applies like a lipgloss, dries like a matte lipstick and once it’s on, it stays on like a lipstain.
Pros: wide range of shades, long-lasting, good medium coverage
Cons: does not apply as smoothly as teint idole 14h, slightly cakey
I had been using the Teint Idole Ultra 14h foundation for over a year before Lancôme replaced it with this new formula, now boasting a 24h lasting power. I was happy with the foundation and hoped 24h would do even better.

Fé and I each bought a pair of Solar Eclipse lenses for our upcoming Elizabeth and Margaret cosplay from the Persona series. I couldn’t find any yellow circle lenses, but luckily Twilight seems to have made yellow lenses popular so there was a few designs to choose from on websites that sell theatrical lenses. The black rim and detailing around the outer edge of the Solar Eclipse make them look somewhat “natural” for yellow lenses, so we picked them over the other options.
A little while ago, Fé and I were searching for elf ears for our Disgaea cosplays. Latex ears, like those from Aradani Studio, weren’t the best for our costumes because none had quite the right shape. Also, we specifically wanted ears that stick away from the head when you wear them. That’s when we came across the elf ears sold on Yaya Han’s Original Cosplay Accessories store.
