This sponsored post was made possible by our friends at Klenspop! I was quite happy when they offered to send us circle lenses to review (again!) because I still do love to wear them in daily life. Actually, since our first review of their shop, I purchased quite a few pair of lenses from them. I love their low prices, quick shipping and great customer service. I only wish they had more “cosplay” colours!

Once again, shipping from South Korea to Canada took only 2 weeks which was a pleasant surprise compared to other circle lens sites. If you need lenses really fast they also offer EMS shipping which can allow you to get your lenses in less than 7 days.

You can check out our previous review of their Bunny Color Brown lenses.

Klenspop lenses always come in a cute little box with a simple lens case and a pair of soft tweezers for the lenses – which I absolutely love! Honestly, I’m not a fan of the animal cases that many other lens shops give so the plain lens cases make me happy!

Color

With blue and violet lenses, we were really hoping for a dramatic eye colour change, but unfortunately even with my lighter hazel brown eyes there was barely any change in colour. If anything, I felt like it made my eyes darker. Under bright daylight and up close the colour can be seen, but from a normal distance or farther it’s completely lost.

The lenses have a large black limbal ring at the edge and black dashes all over in a pattern reminiscent of the EOS Dolly Eye lenses and similar to many other models. Personally, I think the large black ring doesn’t look very natural but it can work in some cases for cosplay. The lenses have a fairly large clear part at the center which makes them easy to see out of (the vision is not obscured by the coloured pattern). The downside is that it’s easy to see the natural eye colour show through, as can be seen in some of the pictures.

Enlargement

The enlargement is noticeable at 14 mm (graphic design 13.7 mm) because of the large limbal ring. Nothing crazy, but they do give a slight dolly eye look.

Comfort

When putting on the lenses, they were comfortable for the both of us, but made our eyes dry unusually quickly. Expect to apply eye drops more often than usual with these. We wouldn’t recommend wearing them for many hours.

Considering the design of the lenses doesn’t look very natural and that it doesn’t noticeably change the colour of the eyes I don’t really see any reason to get this model over others. I like large limbal rings and, in fact, my favourite pair of lenses from Klenspop has a big ring but I just didn’t like the look of the Ellen Panda PM’s design.

The lenses featured in this blog entry were provided by Klenspop for review. I wrote my actual opinion of the product and would get more lenses from them as a paying customer in the future. Totally recommend this shop!
