Here’s a quick Glossybox review in pictures! I wanted to give beauty boxes a try and since Glossybox was the only one without a waiting list, I ended up subscribing to that one. For a $15 monthly fee, you get 5 beauty product samples in the mail to try. The samples are either a full sized product or at least a very acceptable size. This is what I received in my April box:
As you can see, the packaging is gorgeous and I felt excited about opening my box.
Unfortunately, I was really disappointed by the products. They promise luxury brands, but what I got was just drug store products.
My 5 products:
Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer
Marcelle Xtension Plus Mascara
Elizabeth Grant Madagascar Vanilla Shower Gel
Wella Brilliance Conditioner for fine to normal colored hair
Wella Brilliance Treatment for fine to normal colored hair
The other let down was that the box didn’t seem to be customized according to my beauty profile at all. I checked that I had “thick, curly and frizzy” hair and yet they sent me 2 products for fine to normal hair. I also stated that I didn’t want spa products and received a shower gel.
I already unsubscribed from Glossybox and signed up for the Luxe Box that I’ll be receiving in May, so I’ll post up a review when I get it. Hopefully that one will be a nicer surprise!
