Splash of Color 2 Contact Lenses

Name: Splash of Color 2
Brand: Interojo
Diameter: 14.2 mm
Base curve: 8.6 mm
Lifespan: 1 week after taken out of package
Prescription: Available
Purchased from: Clearly Contacts

These lenses come in 2 versions: monthly wear and weekly wear. The version that I tried is the weekly which is sold in a box containing 6 lenses (3 pairs) and costs $30. The monthly option costs $25 per single lens so getting a full pair would have a hefty $50 price tag. Since I was going to use these for cosplay and would wear them only once or twice during the same weekend I didn’t think it was necessary to pay more for the monthly lenses.

Color
The color of the Splash of Color 2 lenses is very vibrant. Lots of reviewers even say that the color is shocking and doesn’t look natural but I think it’s just perfect for cosplay. In my opinion, you can’t get such great color payoff with circle lenses, except maybe with the Dolly Eye lenses by EOS. Between the two options, I prefer the design of the Splash of Color lenses.

Enlargement

With a 14.2 mm diameter, they do make the eyes appear larger but not that much. It’s still a nice touch for cosplay photos, but won’t make you look bug eyed.

Comfort
The lenses are very soft and were comfortable to wear all day. Just make sure to apply eye drops every 3-4 hours to keep your eyes hydrated.

I was extremely satisfied with these lenses and will definitely try their other colors when I need them for cosplay! I don’t think I would wear them out of costume because they do stand out a lot and I prefer a more natural look in my daily life.
