I don’t consider myself a cosplay photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures of my friends’ cosplays occasionally! This time, here are pictures of the lovely GebGeb in her Princess Peach costume from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We took these pictures at a local park and Geb was a real kid magnet XD

Catherine Photoshoot at Anime North
Hey guys! We recently received the photos from our Catherine photoshoot from one of our favorite photographers, Jack Liu! Definitely check out his online portfolio for exceptional cosplay photography.
As much as I love Anime North, it has very few decent photoshoot locations. Luckily, the bar at the Sheraton Hotel was a good spot for Catherine since it reminded of the Stray Sheep bar a little bit!
Arda Wigs Luthien Review
Style: Luthien
Length: 100+ cm
Color: Grape
Heat resistant: Yes
Price: $40
I bought a curly wig instead of a straight one because I heard from a wig panel that I attended at Anime North that curly wigs tend to be thicker than straight ones. Now, I can’t tell if the Luthien is thicker than the other long wigs that Arda carries, but it’s really thick, so I’m happy!
The fiber is very nice and it doesn’t look too shiny or fake. When the wig was still curly I found the texture of the fiber to be a bit rough, but it got softer after combing and straightening so I wonder if the initial texture wasn’t due to some styling product to preserve the curls. That’s just a wild guess, though!
Gedeo Siligum Review and Mold Tutorial
Making custom molds for casting resin is quite easy when you have the right products! It's very time-saving when you need to make many identical copies of an object. In my case, I had to make 8 golden rings for my Margaret cosplay. I could have made those out of Sculpey or any other baking clay, but sanding all those down would have taken ages. Making a mold also ensures that all the resulting pieces will be identical!
There are many products you can use to make custom molds, but Gedeo Siligum was the easiest to obtain for me so that's what I ended up using.
Washing Your Costumes
We’re back from Anime North! Instead of a con report I bring you a (long) post-con costume cleaning guide!
After submitting your costume to an intense 2~3 days of con-going, it’s primordial that you waste no time after the con to clean and store it properly so it’s in great shape for your next con.
I will cover the basics of cleaning, stain removal and storing for every part of your costume, including props, wigs and footwear.
