I think for cosplayers it’s especially important to have long-lasting makeup since, unlike theatre artists who only need it to last for an entire performance, we need it to last from early morning through an entire day (and sometimes late into the night!) during conventions.
Here are 10 simple tips (or steps, really!) to make your foundation last longer!
After a disappointing experience trying to find a cruelty-free foundation online, where I thought there would be more variety, I decided to focus on brands I could find in person.
Ever since I learned that MAC Cosmetics is no longer cruelty-free (jerks), I have been on a Quest to find a cruelty-free foundation to replace what I had been using. I started looking into cruelty-free foundation brands and Face Atelier was the one that came up the most, usually along with raving reviews.
If you have read a few of the makeup posts on this blog, you’ve probably noticed that we believe makeup for cosplay is very important and that we invest a bit of time and money in it. Truth is, I’m not the best one at makeup (it’s a work in progress) and for my Snow White cosplay I decided to go to my local MAC Cosmetics store to have one of the makeup artists there create a look for me. As long as you purchase $50 worth of products during your visit this service is free. If your budget allows it, I suggest you give it a try!
